STEPOLOGY Presents the 2005 Tap Day Celebration

WHAT:

STEPOLOGY, a San Francisco-based nonprofit corporation, celebrates National Tap Dance Day with a Tap Class, Tap Jam, and Tap Performance sponsored by San Francisco Dance Center.  Participants can take a class taught by tap artist Channing Cook-Holmes (Riverdance, Gangs of New York, Bojangles), “challenge” each other in a tap jam, and enjoy an informal performance given by Cook-Holmes and open to any Bay Area tap performers.  All are welcome.

Congress, by Joint Resolution signed into law on November 7, 1989, designated National Tap Dance Day May 25th in celebration of the birthday of tap pioneer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson.  While National Tap Dance Day officially falls on Wednesday May 25, the 2005 Tap Day Celebration will take place two days later

Friday, May 27 at 5:00PM (Class); 6:30PM (Tap Jam); and 7:15PM (Tap Performance)

ADMISSION:


$2 (Two Dollars) at the door covers the entire event.  Dancers who would like to perform may sign up at the door.
